Luke And The Lonely
Luke and The Lonely is an Austin, TX indie pop band. Their sound is influenced by the likes of Billy Joel, Cake, and Father John Misty. Their unique style integrates that of rock, gospel, R&B, jazz and even country. They portray their congenial personality through their songs that range from personal stories to witty social commentary. Despite the diverse content within their catalogue, L&TL's music finds continuity with their well-crafted pop writing and instrumentation, as well as the playful and soulful vocal stylings of Luke Bellet and Sara Louise.
It all began when Luke Bellet joined Austin band The Odbodys as a keyboard player in 2017, where he met drummer Nick Tozzo. Soon after Luke's arrival, The Odbodys dissolved, and Nick and Luke decided to establish a new band together. They quickly asked Sara Louise to join as a singer, and Luke and The Lonely was born. L&TL added their bass player, Hudson Berger of upstate New York in July 2018, and their debut EP "The Age of Enlightenment" was released in May 2019. They are now performing in Austin venues and working on a full-length album coming soon.
